Deputy Minister of Education Kicks off Czech RoboBraille Project

Today, Václav Pícl, Deputy Minister for General, Vocational and Further Education at the Czech Ministry of Education kicked off a three-year RoboBraille project at seminar in Prague. Addressing delegates representing disability organisations, educational institutions, libraries and regional governments, Mr Pícl spoke of the challenges of barrier-free education and how services such as RoboBraille support inclusion of students with special needs in mainstream education.

RoboBraille Outreach, the Danish NGO managing the project, will work with Czech partners to localise the RoboBraille service to support Czech, disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders, and conduct a series of train-the-trainer workshops and seminars for teachers, students and relatives.

The project is funded by the VELUX Foundations and is planned to conclude in 2019.
