Last week, November 8th, the international RoboBraille Partner Conference took place in Budapest, Hungary. The conference was held at ELTE University and was attended by 85 participants, representing 10 counties and more than 30 different partner organizations. The aim of the conference was to share knowledge about the RoboBraille Service as an inclusion technology and for all partners to meet and form new relations. Conference coordinator Tanja Stevns opened the conference, followed by a warm welcome from the Head of Department for Disability Affairs, Ministry of Human Resources, Mr. László Szoke and Mr. Attila Fülöp, Deputy Minister of State for Family Affairs and Equality Policy. Partners from Europe and the US held a variety of interesting presentations, illustrating the many different ways the RoboBraille Service is being used in education, vocation and daily life. The RoboBraille Team concludes that the conference was a big success and was particularly thrilled that so many participants from the new partners in Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania were able to attend.
